It’s been a pretty memorable month!
To give you some background, last year myself and my two older sisters, Cerise and Candice, gave an interview to the Sunday Life Magazine for what we thought would be a small column. It was a light-hearted interview reflecting on our childhood experience as siblings attending different high schools.
Months later, and we have been blown away to finally see our interview in print as a double page spread in the Sunday Magazine, appear on the front page of the SMH newspaper, and featured on the Age and SMH websites!
Of course, we bought about ten copies of the magazine for safe keeping.
As it turns out a producer from Channel Seven’s Sunrise program read the article, and contacted Cerise through Facebook to see if we’d appear on the program. We were apprehensive at first, but for the sake of no regrets, we said yes!
I was so nervous and couldn’t help but giggle my way through the interview (as you can probably see from the video with my ear-to-ear grinning).
I’m thrilled we could shed light on the amazing effort my mother put into raising us five daughters as a single parent. Parenting seems tough, and single parenting seems even tougher. Mum did such a great job sourcing education opportunities despite the financial constraints of being the sole-provider.
Love you Mum xx
