A weekend away is never a bad thing, so I was more than happy when my sister, Candice, confirmed her Bachelorette Party would be held at the Portsea Polo.

While I barely understand the rules of the game (and I tend to think most people attending the Polo aren’t across the rules), the Polo atmosphere is always great and I can think of worse places then Portsea for a weekend getaway from Melbourne.

So my five sisters and I, along with some of our best girlfriends, dressed up in pretty frocks, and had a fun day eating, drinking and being merry, as men and women majestically galloped down the grass field on horses.

Portsea is a picturesque beachside town 90 minutes away from Melbourne located on the Mornington Peninsula.  While down there, I took the opportunity to stroll Millionaires Walk for a good dose of private jetty envy and views of turquoise waters from Port Phillip Bay.
